Seeing the city from the river is beautiful. And then there's the sunset!!! With a small group and the super friendly guide Miguel, you could easily get into conversation and learn about Lisbon, whatever you wanted to know. The sailboat sailed through the water in a very relaxed way. Highly recommended!

We loved our sunset yacht tour on ‘Sailing with Sal’ and would highly recommend this as a ‘must to do’ in Lisbon. The hospitality was great and it was good to support a family business. A big thank you to Miguel and his son ⛵️

This was the best evening experience in Lisbon, small group, great weather, on a sailboat!!! We just sat back, relaxed with green wine in hand and enjoyed the beautiful sunset, admired the Lisbon coastline with some of the main attractions lit up. Miquel and Sarah thank you for your hospitality, information shared on history, buildings, monuments, etc. Would recommend this activity for sure and will do it again if I have the chance.

We booked this sunset cruise less than 24 hrs in advance for our last night in Portugal and were totally thrilled. Was a perfect ending to our trip. Miguel was great and it was a beautiful night.

The sunset river cruise was spectacular. It was a beautiful sailboat very well equipped with comfortable seating. Miguel and his son Lorenco are amazing guides. Both are very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Plus they speak four different languages! It was a wonderful way to end our time in Lisbon seeing the city sites from a completely different angle.

Captain Miguel is very knowledgeable and with his son such a great team for a smooth pleasant sailing. They are very friendly and the boat is very clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our last night in Lisbon on Miguel's boat. He and Lourenç were friendly and informative. It was great to be on such a lovely river at that time of day, especially as we were able to be partly under sail.

Nous étions 8 personnes. Nous avons passé un très bon moment au coucher du soleil dans une atmosphère détendue. Le capitaine était à l'heure, l'endroit facile à trouver. Après un briefing de sécurité nous sommes partis sur le Tage. Nous avons eu un verre de vin blanc et il y avait d'autres boissons. Je recommande fortement cette activité.

The boat ride was comfortable and relaxing, they offered out blankets when it got colder and gave us some info on things we asked about.

Everything was perfect with this trip, the perfect timing, the professional way in which we were treated, the wonderful relaxed homely atmosphere with all the other guests, the historical information provided. It was absolutely money well spent.

I highly recommend it. The cruise was great. During the cruise, information was shared about the sights seen, as well as some of the history told. It was windy and a bit chilly, but that didn't stop me from having a great time. Good selection of drinks on offer.

Great crew navigating some issues with the fog, ultimately having a nice sunset and extending the tour well after dark to accommodate the delay at the start. 10/10 would recommend, such good value for money too with the drinks!

Awesome guide, had some fog hit the river and Miguel extended the tour to accommodate us for late start which was above and beyond my expectation. Great music on board and the wine was flowing!

An intimate sailing tour of the Tagus. We decided to book 'Sailing by Sal' after watching Michael Portillo's weekend in Lisbon and are so glad we did. A lovely way to view the city with Miguel and his colleague who were perfect company. Our only regret was only booking for the 2-hour trip as we could have sailed all day. Obrigado guys and best of luck for the future.

We absolutely loved our sailing excursion with Sailing with Sal. We caught a beautiful Lisbon sunset and enjoyed getting to know our captain Miquel and his son. Our two hour tour was enjoyed with Vinho Verde wine. The small number made for an unforgettable last night in Lisbon.

The Crew was very kind and courteous. We were only 10 people on board so there was plenty of space. Lourenco and Tiago were very forthcoming and gave us tips for the rest of our trip.

Esperienza indimenticabile. Che dire: Miguel, marinaio e capitano esperto, e Beatriz, sportiva e amante del mare, vi accompagneranno in uno splendido viaggio di due ore nella baia di Lisbona al tramonto. Alla scoperta delle meraviglie della città, viste dal mare. Momenti indimenticabili, buon vino e buona musica. Il tutto in un atmosfera magica, accogliente con un tocco di avventura. Il numero ridotto di partecipanti rende ancora tutto più intimo e piacevole.

CONSIGLIO: portarsi abbigliamento pesante per la sera (pile o guscio antivento). Il vento è l'umidità serale sono molto "taglienti".

It was a wonderful trip. We were sailing in the sunset crossing the wind. A very friendly skipper, Miguel. He explained the principles of sailing. Good Wines and wonderful fado music in the background and a feeling of saudade...

Maravilloso paseo en velero en un atardecer en el que tuvimos la suerte de tener una temperatura perfecta con la que no nos hizo falta ninguna prenda de abrigo de las que llevábamos en la mochila. Miguel es un patrón afable y con experiencia y junto a su ayudante Francisca, una chica muy simpática, con la que fuimos charlando en varias ocasiones, hizo que el paseo fuese inolvidable. Sin duda repetiriamos la experiencia.

This far exceeded our expectations, it was much more than a spin around the bay, a decent sail down the river and back, taking in the sights and loads of dolphins coupled with generous hospitality and highly knowledgeable commentary. Thoroughly recommended!

We had a fabulous sunset boat trip with Miguel and Manuel.
They looked after us well with lovely drinks, chats and smiles. They answered our questions on the local area and were open to telling us as much as we wanted to hear about Lisbon. Perfect end to our Lisbon trip ! 10/10 recommend booking this experience! We enjoyed the sunset sail with Miguel and Inez as our skippers. They were so knowledgeable and warm, and we enjoyed learning more about the history of Lisbon while we chatted. A small intimate group of only 4 couples with lots of wine/beer refills. Simply extraordinary. We made a trip through the River Tagus simply extraordinary.
The combination of the serenity of the sailing with the Fado as the background, the stunning views of the city and the profound knowledge of Master Miguel, made this experience unique.
The Master of the sailboat and his sailor not only demonstrated an impressive navigation skill, steering the boat with precision, but also shared with us stories about Lisbon, its monuments and the rich heritage of the Tejo.
I highly recommend to those who want to see Lisbon and the south bank from a different perspective, dive into its history and see a memorable sunset, guided by those who really understand the subject and are passionate about what they do.

HIGHLY recommend Sailing with Sal! We went on a private ride with our family of five (kids ages 7, 8 and 11) and it was easily one of their favorite outings of the entire trip. Miguel and his son were so welcoming and created a warm atmosphere for our beautiful boat ride. They were over the top hosts, answering all of our questions about the city, everything. I can't recommend this excursion enough. If you want to see the city from the water and have just a wonderful, engaging experience, be sure to Sail with Sal!

Activité très sympa à faire , malgré le mauvais qui est arrivé juste au moment du départ pour la croisière nous avons passé un agréable moment avec un très bel accueil et des explication sur les monuments que nous avons pu voir et en français , qui est un plus pour nous, qui ne parlons pas Portugais ni Anglais , encore merci à Miguel et son coéquipier . The trip was fantastic. There were only 6 of us so it was a comfortable, intimate and peaceful experience. The wine was plentiful and tasty (other options were available if you wanted). They provide blankets if you are cruising at night (it can be windy). The staff were friendly and funny. The scenery was amazing. You couldn't ask for more at this price.

Sal and Son, thank you for the wonderful experience! Excellent service, they offered us generous pours of wine and bar snacks. I appreciated that there was only 9 of us, everyone had plenty of space and attention. I would recommend that you dress warmly, it can get quite windy. Sal was kind enough to offer us blankets. We had such a lovely time on this river cruise! Miguel and his son were great hosts, and had lots of information about the city. They provided a very comfortable experience and the views are unreal - you won't be able to get views like this anywhere else. This is way more intimate than one of the big tour cruises, I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon.

This was a great activity and Miguel was a fabulous captain. I got some great sunset pictures! There were ten people on our outing. Plenty of seating in the back and front of the boat. Wine and beer were served. Miguel and his mate expertly navigated the sailboat around a huge cruise ship that was in the channel when it should not have been. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend!

We booked a sunset sail on a whim at the recommendation of other tourists we met while in Lisbon. While it was not part of our original plans- it ended up being one of our favorite evenings and experiences of the whole trip. The boat was a delight: cozy (comfy blankets, wine, good company) and the views of Lisbon/Almada and history/stories that were shared by Miguel were fantastic. It was lovely to be away from the crowds with a small group and enjoy the sunset. 10/10 recommend!

We loved our cruise! The service was amazing and Miguel was very knowledgeable about the local landmarks. My friend and I had an amazing time - it was definitely the best thing we’ve done in Lisbon so far. Also, Miguel helped my friend get her purse back after accidentally leaving it in the dock bathroom after the cruise. The level of care and graciousness was next level. Can’t recommend this experience enough!

This was an absolutely amazing experience, and genuinely the best value ever! For sure our favorite thing we’ve done in Lisbon so far. Miguel was very knowledgeable and shared about local landmarks. The ride was absolutely beautiful and the wine was tasty. We were offered blankets as well. Additionally, when my friend forgot her purse in the bathroom after the cruise, Miguel helped return it along with others at the dock. Cannot recommend this cruise enough. The kindness and service was next level!

Nach über zwanzig Jahren haben meine Frau und ich beschlossen, dass wir in Portugal Urlaub machen. Lissabon war uns völlig unbekannt und wir haben zwei Dinge vorab über Getyourguide gebucht. Eine Sache davon war am vorletzten Tag eine Segelbootsfahrt auf dem Tejo mit Sailing with Sal. Dort haben meine Frau und ich Lissabon nochmals aus einer völlig anderen Perspektive gesehen. Unser Skipper Miguel konnte uns zu jedem Punkt an der Küste von Lissabon etwas berichten. Die zwei Stunden sind wie im Flug vergangen. Die untergehende Sonne schien durch die Wolkenformationen, wie flüssiges Gold. Als der Wind günstig stand, konnte der Diesel ausgeschaltet werden, beide Segel füllten sich mit dem kühlen Abendwind und trieben das Schiff an der imposanten Küste entlang. Alles in allem war der Ausflug jeden Cent wert und wir haben am Ende Schwierigkeiten gehabt, das Schiff zu verlassen, weil die Atmosphäre an Bord so entspannend war. Meine Frau und ich werden davon noch lange zehren und die Bilder und Eindrücke nicht mehr vergessen.

I’d recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have unforgettable experience when visiting Lisbon. We chose a sunset cruise and the views were as amazing as the hosts. Sal and the other team member were both very attentive - we got offered some drinks right away, blankets when it got chilly and we’ve got to know a lot of interesting facts. It’s a small group so it’s very intimate and you get to enjoy the trip while listening to some amazing fado music. If you’re torn which cruise to book definitely go with this one! Once again thank you Sal for an amazing trip!

An excellent skipper provided an impressive introduction to Lisbon from the Tagus with his sailing ship. Explanations of every sight and lots of interesting information were patiently explained. The sunset on the river, where the light between the clouds looks like river gold. The cool breeze and the pitching and rolling of the sailboat under full sail - a dream! Only with a total of three couples. It was worth every single penny!!!

Miguel and Lorenzo (I hope I got their names right) are amazing and fun guides. Not only that I enjoyed our boat ride, I also enjoyed talking to them about trivias and their stories. They also took very good care of my lady which was feeling motion sick at that time.

Schöne Seheltour in einer kleinen Gruppe mit schönen Ausblicken auf Lissabon und einige der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Vor Ort gibt es nicht viel, daher ist eine Anreise kurz vor Beginn ratenswert.

Both were super nice and accommodating. They answered many of our questions, and it was a truly beautiful tour! Perfect for capturing the sunset atmosphere. We would definitely book the tour again.
